UNITED WAY

Finishes, Fixtures, Furniture & Decor

Ventura, CA

I was hired to design the new offices for United Way and to coordinate the relocation and procurement of furnishings from various nonprofit and government facilities across the county. My first step was organizing the sourcing at each location and creating a detailed moving schedule to make sure all the items arrived safely and on time.

From there, I developed the finishes and fixtures palette and created furniture and space plans to make the offices functional, efficient, and welcoming. I had the opportunity to design the common areas, multiple storage rooms, the conference room, and nine private offices—thinking carefully about how each space would support the people who work there. I also made sure the color palette reflected United Way’s branding, while layering in historic art pieces and organic elements to give the office warmth and personality.

It was incredibly rewarding to see the space come together, knowing I helped create an environment that is both professional and inviting for staff and visitors alike.
