The story behind Designs Daly begins with creativity. Alyssa grew up in a creative family where design, making, and thinking outside the box were naturally part of life. From an early age, she found herself drawn to the way spaces could make people feel and how creativity could be used to solve problems and bring ideas to life. That natural passion eventually led her to pursue her Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from The Art Institute of California–San Diego, graduating from its CIDA-accredited interior design program.

From there, Alyssa’s career took her through many different sides of the design industry, giving her a well-rounded perspective that continues to shape Designs Daly today. She worked with luxury design and staging firms in San Diego before moving into luxury architecture and interior design in Montecito. Her experience also includes working with local Ventura firms, spending time in retail and design stores in Washington, working in sales, collaborating alongside builders, and taking on projects ranging from drafting and design-build work to full-scale residential design.

She has experienced projects in all kinds of environments—from snowy climates to bright California sunshine—and every experience has brought a different perspective to how a home or event comes together.

Working across these different areas of the industry taught Alyssa that great design is about much more than how something looks. It is about understanding the entire process, seeing challenges from multiple angles, knowing how things are built, understanding budgets and materials, communicating with different trades, and, most importantly, understanding the people who will ultimately live in and experience the space.

All of those experiences eventually led Alyssa to create Designs Daly: a design studio built around having a solution from every angle. Whether working with a single person, a couple, or a family, the goal is to create spaces and events that feel deeply personal and meaningful to the people they are made for.

Homes and milestone events are not temporary things. They often take months, sometimes years, of planning, decision-making, dreaming, and creating. They become the backdrop for photographs, celebrations, quiet moments, family traditions, and memories that are carried for years to come. Alyssa believes there is something incredibly precious about creating a home that feels safe, personal, and truly yours—and designing the meaningful moments in life that you will look back on through photographs and memories.

Designs Daly brings all of that experience together to help clients navigate the process with creativity, knowledge, care, and a genuine understanding of how important these spaces and moments are. It is about creating beautiful design, but more importantly, creating something that becomes part of your story.

ALYSSA DALY

Lead Designer & Owner

What I love most about design, is that it is never really just about the design. It’s about people. I genuinely enjoy getting to know others, listening to their ideas, understanding what is important to them, and helping turn what they imagine into something real. Every person has a story, and I love finding the details that make that story unique.

My background and experiences throughout the design industry have taught me how to approach projects from many different perspectives, but they have also taught me that some of the most meaningful parts of this work happen through connection. I enjoy being the person who can bring creativity and direction to an idea while also making the process feel approachable, personal, and exciting.

I feel incredibly fortunate that something I have always loved has become my purpose. Design is where my creativity comes naturally, but helping people is what makes it meaningful. Whether I’m creating a space, contributing to a special celebration, or helping someone bring an idea to life, I want the work I do to leave people feeling seen, inspired, and genuinely happy with what we created together.
